For civil engineers
Put your judgment where it matters.
Less time digging through code and GIS layers. More time on design. VALITER does the entitlement research and lays out the path. You review, decide and seal.
What changes for you
Research in. Engineering judgment stays with you.
Code research, done up front
The applicable rules, the approving body and the order of approvals, with the source for each.
Facts you can trace
Every finding shows its source and how sure we are. Unknowns say what it takes to find out.
Clear professional gates
Anything that needs hydraulic modeling, drainage design, OSSF design or traffic engineering is marked for your review, with the question written out.
The line
We stop where engineering starts.
What VALITER does
- Looks up rules, maps and records, and shows the source
- Runs table lookups and arithmetic on documents the client supplies
- Sequences the approvals and flags what depends on what
- Drafts the questions for the utility, the county and the city
What VALITER never does
- Seal plans or call itself an engineer
- Say a design complies or is approved
- Replace hydraulic, drainage, septic or traffic design
- Decide anything that requires a licensed professional
How the handoff works
From path to scope.
- 1
The client gets a path
Before you are hired, the developer sees the approvals in order and where engineering is needed.
- 2
The gates are named
Each item that needs a licensed engineer is listed, with the open question and the documents behind it.
- 3
The handoff is clean
You receive a scoped list of questions, sources and assumptions instead of a blank start.
- 4
Answers update the path
Your findings go back into the plan, and the timeline and next move update.
Partner engineers
We are building a small network of civil engineers we can refer clients to when the path needs a licensed professional. If you work in Central Texas and want better-prepared clients, talk to us.

Questions
Engineer FAQ
Is VALITER competing with engineering firms?
No. VALITER does research and sequencing. It sends the work that needs a license to licensed professionals.
Can I use VALITER for my own clients?
That is one of the ways we want to work with engineers. Tell us how you would use it on the contact page.
How do you handle uncertain findings?
They are marked. A finding is clear, a requirement, a conflict or unknown. Unknown is never treated as a pass.
